A department store between Rue de Rivoli and Pont Neuf
This new luxury store, the first for DFS in France, will keep the historical name of La Samaritaine, which is well anchored in the Parisian memory. It will not operate duty-free for all, but with a standard tax-free service for residents outside the European Union.
The retail area will cover the entire first basement, ground and first floors, together with a five-story extension under the large glass roof. From the new Rue de Rivoli patio to the renovated Jourdain Hall, La Samaritaine will offer a unique shopping experience in Paris, fulfilling the expectations of today’s consumer.
Showcasing Paris “brand” as the capital of fashion and gastronomy, La Samaritaine will also highlight French “savoir-faire” with its product range (fashion, jewellery, saddlery, leather goods, ect…) themed around beauty and well-being.
The Cheval Blanc, a Palace Hotel
The Sauvage Building will house 72 rooms and suites overlooking the Seine. This Second Cheval Blanc hotel in France (the first opened in 2006 in Courchevel, and is ranked as one of the top eight French palace hotels) offers the brand’s key signatures – the spirit of exclusivity (with a stunning location and each room furnished and decorated differently), creativity, French-style hospitality, attention to detail, craftsmanship and art. The design of the hotel and it’s operation have been entrusted to LVMH Hôtel Management, the hospitality arm of the LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group.
