Designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel, a world reference in luxury hotel design, The 144 rooms, and suites of the hotel, offer magical views of the Rhone, Notre-Dame de Fourviere, our French gardens, and historic courtyards, and more broadly, the city of Lyon.
In the entire hotel, there is a harmonious blend between the past and the present. The hotel also has 8 suites inspired by the location while playing the card of simplicity, purity and delightful.
It took four years of work to complete this establishment nestled in the most magnificent historical monument of the Gauls capital: it’s Grand Hôtel-Dieu. A former hospital that operated continuously for 8 centuries until its closure in 2010.
With its 13,237 m2 in the heart of the August building, the InterContinental Lyon is the masterpiece of this new complex, which aims to contribute to the international influence of France’s third largest city while boosting its local activity.
With 144 rooms and suites, a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, a bar and a vast 1,325 m2 conference center, InterContinental Lyon – Hôtel-Dieu aims to become Lyon’s new luxury reference for leisure and business tourism.
On the first floor, the majestic dome of the Grand Dôme will be the hotel’s nerve center, hosting an impressive bar, Le Dôme, a meeting point for both Lyon residents and guests of the hotel.
Club guests who have chosen to take advantage of this exclusive hotel service can enjoy this impressive space from their private Club Lounge lounge, which offers a bird’s eye view of the premises.
